This program including,

General English communication skills

A communicative approach to learning English, including lectures, learning activities, exercises, listening activities, pair/group discussions, and class discussions.

Literature Circle discussion groups

Reading to develop critical thinking skills, vocabulary development, oral fluency and discussion skills.

Pronunciation

Improve vowel and consonant sounds, syllable stress, word stress, contractions, rhythm and intonation. 

Vocabulary/Idioms (5 week format only)

Build vocabulary in context and learn natural English expressions to be used in conversation.

2.Calgary International Summer Program

There are two program formats to choose from:

1. ESL + One Academic Course
2. Two Academic Courses

Academic courses are taught by University of Calgary faculties, and English training courses are taught by English language specialists from University of Calgary Continuing Education.

In these intensive programs, students will improve their English language skills, gain international academic experience, learn Canadian culture first-hand, and visit top destinations in and around Calgary.

Courses are graded and include a certificate of participation.
